We are proud to offer dental services for kids in our office.
The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first friendly check-up visit as soon as the first baby teeth appear on the arch. At that moment we can perform a visual exam with the child in the parent’s lap.
Later on we offer a variety or treatments, like the regular cleaning and examination every 6-12 months, sealants of the adult molars, restorations of primary (baby) and adult teeth, as well as interceptive orthodontics.
Some dental services for children under the age of 10 are covered by Quebec’s Medicare, such as: Emergency exam, annual dental exam, x-rays, amalgam(silver) fillings for posterior teeth, aesthetic material (white) fillings for front teeth and extractions. However, the costs for cleaning, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments and the sealants of pits and fissures are not covered by Medicare.
