Recall Exams

The American and Canadian dental Associations recommend having recall exams every 6 months, during which we are going to examine your soft tissues for early detection of oral cancer, periodontal disease or other issues.

The dentist will also verify each tooth to identify problems like cavities, fractures, cracks or the integrity of the previous dental restorations. Not rarely it happens that some of the existing restorations show signs of wear or infiltration and need to be replaced.

By having your teeth and mouth regularly checked every six months, you are reducing the potential risk of more serious dental problems.

Even children aged 2 or older need to see a dentist. Starting at age four or five all children should have their teeth checked regularly at a dental office.

If you haven’t had a recall exam lately, don’t hesitate to call us for an appointment!
